Welcome to Chapter 10, North Texas, of ASIS International, the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide

I want to thank everyone who attended our February chapter meeting. We had an outstanding turn out and an interesting presentation. Our next chapter meeting is scheduled for March 19, 2015. It will be at the Dallas Police Association located at 1412 Griffin Street East, Dallas, Texas. Our speaker will be Rudy Flores-Texas Ranger. CPE credit forms will be issued. See
the North Texas Chapter website www.ntx.asis.org for details about this meeting.

As I said in my February message, our goal this year is help enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of our own chapter members in the security field. We are currently in the process of developing training seminars for chapters members interested in obtaining ASIS certifications (CPP, PCI, and PSP). Chapter members who currently hold certifications and are in need of continuing profession education credits will be welcome to attend these training seminars and will receive CPE credit. An email will soon be sent out regarding this initiative.

Our annual LEAN event is a little over two months out. This event is being coordinated by Martin Cramer (cramer@downtowndallas.org) and Steve Castor (steve.castor@cbre.com). Particulars regarding this event are now on our chapter website.

As a reminder, if you are currently looking for employment opportunities, be sure to check our chapter website’s job section. Also, if you are an employer who is looking to fill positions at your company, please pass this information along with job description/qualification to Charles Baxter at Charles.baxter@yahoo.com for posting

I look forward to seeing everyone at our March meeting. Remember “it’s about our members.”

Kind regards,

Tony Migliaccio
2015 Chairman
