Welcome to Chapter 10, North Texas, of ASIS International, the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide
What an incredible February meeting! The Dallas Museum of Art
provided a wonderful facility and chef prepared meal (Thanks to
Member Lance Childers for arranging) and it was topped off by a
timely presentation by Special Agent Steven Bullitt of the U.S.
Secret Service. Attendance was substantially more than expected and
the Board thanks you for your attendance.
This month, our lunch meeting will be held at Spring Creek Barbeque (3514 West Airport Freeway, Irving). It is hoped that this centralized (183/George Bush (161) location will be more convenient for our members anywhere in the metroplex.
Ivan Vikin, Special Agent in Charge of the EPA out of Dallas will be speaking about, “Ethics, Transparency and Responsible Business Leadership.” His last presentation was so well received we have invited Agent Vikin to return to discuss this important topic. We expect another well attended meeting so book your RSVP today!
In April, Heritage Auctions will be hosting our monthly meeting at their Dallas Headquarters (thanks to Member Christopher Almonrode for arranging). In May, the Chapter will host its 50th Appreciation Night. For June, the chapter will be holding its first Technology Forum at the Securadyne’s offices in Carrollton. More information on monthly events will be provided soon and updated information on the LEAN event can be found under the LEAN tab.
In other updates, expect to see some exciting news from our Young Professionals Committee. The Chapter will be offering some webinars this year to assist those of you who need CEUs to maintain certification (thank you to Member Tom Hulsey for coordinating).
