Welcome to Chapter 10, North Texas, of ASIS International, the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide

Happy New Year Members! We have an exciting agenda planned for 2016 including dynamic speakers at monthly meetings, and the signature events you count on every year for networking and socializing with your fellow members.

First, I would like to thank the 2015 Executive Board and volunteers for making last year a success. The 52nd annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night (LEAN) was very well attended with over 900 boot scootin’ guests. The 1st Annual Women in Security Gala was also a big hit with over 80 guest at the very elegant Downtown Dallas City Club. The 2015 NTX Board of Directors presented proceeds from LEAN to the Assist the Officer Founder and the proceeds from WIS Gala benefitted the Genesis Women’s Shelter.

Please join us at the Chapter networking event on Thursday January 21st at Cool River Café in Irving Texas. You will hear more about 2016 Chapter events and educational opportunities. Please register online as soon as possible.

Save the Date: February 22-24, ASIS Security Architecture and Engineering Council (SAEC) is sponsoring a Facility Security Design & Resilience Workshop in Fort Worth. The 3-day program offers a detailed approach to the design of a fully integrated physical security program. It provides recommendations for improving protection against terrorism, workplace violence, street crime, and other threats.

As a reminder, if you are currently looking for employment opportunities, be sure to check the chapter website’s job section. Also, if you are an employer who is looking to fill positions at your company, please pass this information along with job description and link to our webmaster.
